DRIVERS TRAINING INFORMATION

The state of California requires that all students under the age of 18 have a

  • "Minimum" of 6 hours of BEHIND-THE-WHEEL instruction.
  • First, you must obtain your learners permit. Then, call the office (please have your permit with you when you call). if you are unable to obtain your learners permit, we will issue you a
    **"STUDENT LICENSE"**($2.00 fee).

We provide the highest quality of instruction available anywhere.  Our Driving Instructors receive the training required by the Department of Motor Vehicles; but it doesn't stop there.  In fact, it just begins there. Our instructors are  quality individuals.  A thorough "background" investigation on each prospective instructor is performed.  Even after an instructor is hired and trained, he/she receives "continued training" throughout his/her career.  We realize that you, as parents, are putting your trust in our school.  When we send an instructor to you front door, to take your son or daughter for their 1st driving lesson, you need the comfort and confidence that an International Driving & Traffic school Instructor represents.  Our instructors are courteous, kind and patient.  Above all, they are knowledgeable professionals, and conduct themselves as such.

All driving lessons are "one student per instructor".  We have found that when other students are in the car, there is a "loss of value" for the student that is learning.  Drivers Training can be scheduled seven days a week.  We will be happy to pick-up or drop-off at school, work or home at no additional charge.  All students are taught residential, business and freeway driving, as well as given "practice" Drive Test to better enable them to pass their "real" Drive Test.  We encourage night driving, as well as mountain driving to round out the students training.

The 6 hours will be scheduled in three, two hour lessons. The lessons will be private. We will pick-up and drop-off the student. It is common for a student to take their drive test in the same car that they took their lessons in. There will be a fee for this. Call and we will be happy to discuss the details with you.

Teen Licensing Requirements

Effective July 1, 1998, with the repeal of Section 12507, Section 12814.6 describes the new provisional, or teen, licensing process, which will require driver license applicants under the age of 18 to have an instruction permit for at least six months before they can take the driving test.

Applicants will also have to complete at least 50 hours of supervise driving practice, including at least 10 hours during darkness, and submit certification of completing those hours from a parent or licensed driving instructor.

During the first six months after receiving a license, the provisional driver won't be able to drive between midnight and 5 a.m. without special permission or with a licensed adult driver age 25 or older. The driver will also be restricted from transporting any passengers under 20 years old, unless accompanied by an adult at least 25 years old.

In the second six months, the licensee will be able to transport passengers under age 20, but still may not drive between midnight and 5 a.m. without special permission (see California Handbook for more info) or accompanied by an adult licensed driver age 25 or older.

ADULT TRAINING & BRUSH UPS

The State of California requires any one who is age 18 or older take a written test (to obtain a learners permit) and a drive test to obtain a drivers license. There are no state requirements for an adult to take a drivers training course.

WE SERVE A PURPOSE!!!

Knowing that everyone learns differently, we understand that not everyone can learn from a spouse, relative, or friend. If you've never been licensed, and you have been told you'll never learn to drive a car give us a call and we'll prove
"YOU CAN DRIVE"!!

We not only take someone who's never driven and turn them into a safe licensed driver, but we'll take someone who has a license, and doesn't feel comfortable driving in traffic, or on the freeway, or in the mountains and help them to overcome and master their skills as a motorist in this fast paced world.

We teach adults from 18 years of age to well into their senior years. if age, embarrassment, or lack of confidence are what's keeping you from getting your license...DON'T PUT IT OFF ANY LONGER.

  • Handicapped?..We provide cars that are equipped with hand controls.
  • Stick-shift?..Tired of not knowing how to drive one, or are you grinding those gears or burning up that clutch?  We will teach you to do it right!

OUR PROFESSIONAL INSTRUCTORS CAN SAVE YOU MONEY...AND MAYBE YOUR LIFE!!

TRAFFIC VIOLATOR SCHOOL

We provide this course to the public for 3 reasons:

  1. To keep that ticket off your record, this will help avoid loss of license or job.

  2. To help keep your insurance rates down. We think you're spending enough money as it is.

  3. It's a good defensive driving course. You may be surprised by "NEW LAWS", or what you may have forgotten, or maybe never learned!!

We offer Traffic School all over the valley, you can attend during the week, or on the weekends. We understand your schedule isn't perfect so we try harder to have a Traffic School class that fits your lifestyle. You'll not only find a class that works with your schedule, but you'll be surprised on how reasonable the cost is!! CALL FOR DETAILS.

If you have an organization that requires employees to be on the road, you may reduce your liability with a custom designed defensive driving course. This course can be held at your place of business, or ours.
